Seahawks Secure Play-off Spot with Thrilling Overtime Triumph over Los Angeles Rams.

Decisive play in the extra period

Tight end Saubert executed the decisive two-point conversion for the Seahawks.

Seattle staged a remarkable comeback to overcome the Los Angeles Rams in overtime, clinching their place in the NFL play-offs.

Rallying from a sixteen-point deficit in the fourth quarter, the Seattle squad triumphed by a single point at home, registering their fifth straight win.

While the Rams had already secured a playoff berth earlier on Sunday, the Seahawks booked their return to the postseason after a 24-month hiatus.

With this outcome, the Seattle now lead their division's race with a twelve and three record, supplanting the Los Angeles, who fell to the number five seed with an eleven and four standing.

Game Recap

Signal-caller Sam Darnold had two interceptions but regrouped to deliver two touchdown passes, culminating in the tying TD to wideout Smith-Njigba in the extra period.

The Rams held a 13-7 advantage at the break before Kenneth Walker III burst through for a 55-yard scoring dash for the home side.

Rams defensive back Josh Wallace then returned Darnold's first pick for a big return, leading to a one-yard score by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the fourth quarter, a scoring pass from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua extended the Rams' lead to sixteen points, but Rashid Shaheed ignited the comeback with a spectacular punt return.

Darnold then connected with AJ Barner in the end zone, and a successful conversion forced the game into an extra period.

Although Puka Nacua raced in for his second touchdown in OT, Jaxon Smith-Njigba answered in kind to setup the game-winning conversion.
