In a surprising crossover event that defies traditional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "An unusual confrontation draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret cult.

The mission centers on "strange tests and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Transformations

The trailer highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, probably the captive, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also adds the game's latest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
